HEEL Verlag was founded in Bonn-Oberkassel in 1980 and currently publishes 80 books, 60 calendars and four magazines a year. A wide range of topics has been the trademark of the publishing house from the very beginning, although the topic of vintage cars was already trend-setting with the second publication: Today, with numerous screwdriver manuals, buying guides, type monographs and its vintage car catalogue, now in its 30th edition, HEEL is one of the leading specialist car publishers on the German book market. The magazines Maranello World and Porschefahrer complete and round off this segment.

True to the motto "Barbecue better than the others", the HEEL Verlag has opened up another special area with a 40-title range of grill books and is therefore one of the top addresses - especially when it comes to special topics such as smoking or ceramic grills. In the general cookbook segment, too, the publishing house is an integral part of the German book trade with around 25 publications per year. The publishing house celebrates its biggest circulation success to date with 400,000 copies of the title "Nutella - the 30 best recipes".
In addition to the successful cooking and technology topics, the entire range of topics covered by the publishing house ranges from model railways, Lego, coloring books for adults and musician biographies to watches, golf, sports and health guides to top cinema topics such as Star Wars, Harry Potter or the Minions - and new and original ideas are constantly being implemented here.
The variety of topics is also reflected in the 60-title calendar programme, with which the publisher was able to establish itself in this difficult segment.
With its four magazinesUhren, Maranello World, Porsche Driver and MIXX, HEEL Verlag is also firmly anchored in the magazine market. Above all, the latest project, MIXX, with a circulation of over 100,000 copies sold per issue, is not only the first, but also the most successful magazine on the trend topic Thermomix.
In addition to the classic publishing business, the publisher has always been active in the field of "corporate publishing"; Company chronicles, anniversary volumes and other collaborations with a wide variety of companies are an important mainstay of the publishing house.
HEEL Verlag currently employs 33 people and trains media managers digital and print every year, as well as trainees in editing.
