MARINE PROPELLER - JPROP

The designer and user have always had to “fight” with this very delicate mechanical body.

Even when designed specifically for the hull that it will support, a propeller may still end up being unsuitable: planing difficulties, poor performance, vibrations, cavitation, etc. are only some of the problems that may occur.

This is why studies on the dynamics of the propellers are never ending.

The application of new technologies and recent studies now allows medium-sized boats to be fitted with a reliable product suitable for enhancing the characteristics of the hull.

It is evident how the choice of a propeller can affect the performance of propulsion, especially if it is not made in a suitable design centre and if navigation tests have not been conducted on the vessel.

ITALIAN PROPELLERS was founded especially for this purpose.

The complete design of a propeller requires precise data relating to the vessel: displacement, centre of gravity, installed power, engine speed, reduction ratio, hull shape etc. Processing these aspects with a specific program allows obtaining the dimensions and characteristics of the propeller which will then be installed on the hull.

Our standard production includes a range of 3-blade propellers, 4-blade propellers, 5-blade propellers, 6-blade propellers, made of manganese alloy and nickel-aluminium bronze alloy, which meet the standards for pleasure crafts, fishing boats, speed boats, tug boats, ships of medium tonnage, etc.

We can also supply custom propellers made specifically to the customer’s design or designed directly by our research and design centre, which boasts over 35 years of experience in the field of hydrodynamics and navigation testing.
